HealthFinders along with the Faribault Schools Community Education Group has developed a class open to all frontline healthcare workers (Community Paramedics, Community Healthcare Workers, Interpreters, etc.). This class was designed so that these workers could have the chance to develop their skills and, more importantly, learn from each other. There are eleven classes in total that meet once every 2-3 weeks and, although everyone is encouraged to attend all classes, people can drop in for a class or two at any point. So far, those in the class have not only learned material that will help them in their field, but have been able to ask their fellow students for advice on specific problems. We hope that the close relationships that have been developed in this class continue to grow so that our community in Rice County can benefit from the collective knowledge that each frontline healthcare worker brings to the table.
